RICS Foundation Trustees
As a registered charity, the RICS Foundation is governed by trustees.
As the RICS Foundation is also a company limited by guarantee, it is
also governed by company law so its trustees double as a Board of
Directors, like any other company but, in this case, no trustee receives
payment for the work done.
The trustees meet usually a minimum of four times per year and deal with
all the strategic aspects of the RICS Foundation. As at April 2003, the
Foundation has as its Patron His Grace the Duke of Westminster OBE TD
DL. The
Board is chaired by Paul Orchard-Lisle CBE TD DL MA FRICS, with
additional trustees being, in alphabetic order, Louis Armstrong (Chief
Executive, RICS), John Fenner OBE (senior partner of law firm Fenners),
Clara Furse (Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange), Robert Hall
(Chair of the United Nations Real Estate Advisory Group), Simon Kolesar
FRICS (senior partner E C Harris), Sir Martin Laing CBE (chairman of the Sustainable Construction
Task Group) and Christopher Penn (Consultant).
