Who We Are

The RICS Research Foundation has grown from an initiative of the RICS under its "Agenda for Change" programme. The Foundation is the Millennium Project for the RICS. The intention is to create the lead body for research into the built and natural environments. Negotiations are coming to a close with the Charity Commissioners in the UK covering our formal charity status.

The Foundation is currently comprised of six people: David Fitzpatrick (Executive Director, Catherine Hahn (Operations Manager), Stephen Brown (Head of Research), Claire Barnett (Research Executive), Matthew Prescott (Editor) and Julie Carmody (Team Support). Though we are, at present, a small team of people, we have the full support of the RICS structure and its 100,000 membership behind us.

We have a Board of Trustees, chaired by his Grace, the Duke of Westminster, Patrons and Supporting Members. Full details will be publicised shortly.

The Royal Institute of Chartered SurveyorsAlthough a worldwide Foundation, we are based in the heart of London, UK, opposite the Houses of Parliament, at 12 Great George Street, London SW1P 3AD, UK. info@rics-foundation.org.
